Product Description
The specifications of cushioning rubber are directly related to the "spring spacing". Please be sure to pay attention to that the specifications of the cushioning rubber installed are suitable for the corresponding springs. If the specifications are inconsistent, please do not install them (if you are shopping online, it is recommended to measure the spring spacing before buying, which is the safest and most secure way).
The circumference of the buffer glue may exceed the circumference of the spring (that is, the end and the end of the buffer glue will overlap after installation). If there is overlap, the excess length must be cut off, otherwise it will do more harm than good! Pay attention to the equal cutting at both ends, for example, if the extra (overlapping) 8 cm, cut off 4~5 cm at the beginning and end respectively.
If the circumference of the spring is too large (the buffer glue does not wrap around the spring once installed), please pay attention to whether it reaches two-thirds of the spring once. If it is enough for two-thirds, then there is no problem and it will not affect the use effect; If it is less than two-thirds or even less (this phenomenon is very rare), it is necessary to use two cushion rubbers in combination (at most, it can only be wound around the spring once, and it cannot overlap).
No matter what style the whole spring is (straight, tapered, inverted, barrel-shaped), the buffer glue must be installed in the middle of the spring, so as to achieve the best effect. The outward or inward opening of the cushion rubber does not affect the use effect, but the inward opening will be more beautiful.
When the car body is lifted up, the springs are in tension, and the spring spacing during stretching can't be consistent with the buffer glue (so don't lift the car body too high). Try to let the springs enter the buffer glue slot or single side into the groove. When lowering the car body slowly, check and pay attention to the fact that the spring is completely inserted into the upper and lower grooves of the buffer glue.
After the bumper glue is properly installed, it is suggested that the bumper glue and the spring should be integrally fastened with cable tie at the bumper glue hole position (click to see what cable tie is). The advantage is to avoid looseness or dislocation in case of long-term use, and in addition, when the car body is jacked up in the future, the spring is not easy to pull out of the bumper glue slot.
