Product Description
When replacing the oxygen sensor, you should first ensure personal safety to avoid burns. Operation should be carried out after the engine is cooled, gently feel the thread of the oxygen sensor loose, and forcibly unscrew it at one time. If you need to replace the oxygen sensor, choose the pre - or post-oxygen replacement according to the damage. Unless both oxygen sensors are damaged at the same time, you do not need to replace the two oxygen sensors at the same time. Considering that the replacement of the oxygen sensor requires professional tools and knowledge, as well as troubleshooting the cause of the failure, it is recommended that the owner do not replace it by himself, but go to a professional maintenance point for repair
When installing automotive oxygen sensors, the following points need to be noted:
1. When installing the wiring harness, the Angle must not exceed 60°, and the bending rate of the wiring harness must be greater than R20 (radius ≥20mm) to avoid deformation or damage to the wiring harness.
2. The oxygen sensor should not be installed at the turn of the exhaust pipe to avoid affecting its normal operation.
3. The oxygen sensor should be installed away from the engine and exhaust pipe, as close to the turbocharger as possible, and downstream of the exhaust brake valve if one exists.
4. It is best to have a heat insulation device such as a heat shield between the oxygen sensor and the engine to prevent overheating from damaging the sensor.
