The main material of automobile intake air temperature sensor is negative temperature coefficient thermistor . The resistance value of the thermistor changes with the change of temperature, and decreases when the temperature rises. When the temperature decreases, the resistance value increases. This characteristic allows the intake temperature sensor to accurately measure the intake temperature and convert it into an electrical signal for transmission to the engine control unit
The operating principle of the intake temperature sensor is based on the characteristics of the thermistor. When the intake temperature increases, the resistance value of the thermistor decreases, and vice versa. This change in the resistance value will cause the voltage in the circuit to change, resulting in different voltage signals to complete the automatic operation of the control system. The ECU uses these signals to adjust fuel injection and other parameters to achieve the best air-fuel ratio and engine performance
