When the gearbox is running, there will be friction between the gears, and over time there will be some ground down metal powder. If these metal debris and impurities are overaccumulated and not cleared away, the filter and permeability of the filter on the oil pan of the box will reduce and lead to insufficient oil pressure, light will lead to slow shift, slight flop.
