Product Description
1. Resistive fuel position sensor: The resistive fuel position sensor determines the fuel level in the fuel tank by measuring the resistance value. The sensor usually contains a float and a variable resistor. When the float moves up and down, the resistance value will change accordingly, thus reflecting the change of oil level in the fuel tank.
2. Capacitive fuel position sensor: Capacitive fuel position sensor uses the change of capacitance to measure the fuel level in the fuel tank. The sensor contains two electrodes, one is fixed, and the other is a movable electrode connected with the float. When the float moves up and down, the capacitance between the movable electrode and the fixed electrode will change, thus reflecting the height of the oil level in the fuel tank.
3. Ultrasonic fuel position sensor: The ultrasonic fuel position sensor measures the fuel level in the fuel tank by sending and receiving ultrasonic signals. The sensor will send an ultrasonic signal to the fuel tank, and when the signal meets the liquid surface, it will be reflected back to the sensor, and the oil level can be determined by measuring the round-trip time of the signal.
4. Oscillating fuel position sensor: The oscillating fuel position sensor uses the change of oscillation frequency to measure the fuel level in the fuel tank. The sensor contains an oscillator and an oscillation frequency sensor. When the float moves up and down, the dielectric constant of the liquid will change the oscillation frequency, thus reflecting the oil level height.
Generally speaking, different types of automobile fuel position sensors adopt different sensing technologies and working principles, but they can accurately measure the fuel level in the fuel tank and transmit the data to the electronic control unit of the vehicle to monitor and manage the fuel situation. It is very important for fuel management and performance of vehicles to select fuel position sensors suitable for vehicle models and requirements.
