Automobile fuel position sensor is a kind of sensor used to measure the oil level in vehicle fuel tank, and its working principle is mainly based on the float measurement principle. A sensor usually consists of a float, a sensor body and an electronic control unit.
The working principle is as follows:
1. Float position measurement: A float is installed inside the sensor, which floats up and down with the change of oil level in the fuel tank. When the oil level in the fuel tank rises, the float rises accordingly; When the oil level drops, the float also drops.
2. Sensor body induction: Sensors are installed inside the sensor body, usually capacitive or resistive sensors. When the float floats up and down, the sensor will sense the position change of the float and transmit the signal to the electronic control unit.
3. Signal processing: After receiving the signal from the sensor, the electronic control unit will process and convert the signal to convert the float position into the specific value of the oil level in the fuel tank.
4. Display and control: After signal processing, the electronic control unit will transmit the value of the fuel level in the fuel tank to the dashboard of the vehicle for the driver to monitor the fuel situation of the vehicle in real time. At the same time, the fuel position sensor will also communicate with the fuel management system of the vehicle to ensure the accuracy and stability of fuel supply.
Generally speaking, the automobile fuel position sensor accurately measures the fuel level in the fuel tank by using the change of the float position based on the principle of float measurement, and transmits the data to the electronic control unit of the vehicle to realize the monitoring and management of the fuel situation. This design can help the driver to know the fuel situation of the vehicle in time and ensure the driving safety and the normal operation of the vehicle.
