The operating principle of the eccentric shaft sensor is based on the magnetoresistive effect. When the eccentric shaft rotates, a magnetic wheel equipped with a permanent magnet causes the magnetic line of force to pass through the magnetic conductive material inside the sensor, causing a change in resistance. This resistance change is converted into an electrical signal and translated into valve travel by the engine control unit. The sensor adopts redundant design structure, two sensor components are installed in a housing, one sensor assumes the guiding task, the other sensor monitors its working status, to ensure the stability and reliability of the system
