Product Description
The crankshaft sensors include:
Permanent magnet : Used to produce a stable magnetic field.
Coil : as a signal coil, used to sense magnetic field changes.
Connector plug : used to transmit sensor signals to the engine control unit
The working principle of the crankshaft sensor is mainly as follows:
magneto electric induction : when the crankshaft rotates, the signal disc (with fine teeth and flange) installed on the crankshaft rotates, and the teeth and flange on the signal disc cause the magnetic field through the induction coil to change, thus generating alternating electromotive force in the induction coil, which is transformed into a pulse signal after filtering and shaping and sent to the ECU. For example, Nissan's magnetic pulse crankshaft position sensor is of this type 1.
Hall effect : The Hall element is used to sense the change of magnetic field. When the magnetic field changes, the Hall element outputs voltage signals for measuring the position and speed of the crankshaft.
photoelectric type : the light hole on the turntable is detected by LED and photodiode. When the light hole is aligned with the LED, a voltage signal is generated, which is amplified and sent to the ECU
