1. Oil pressure control: The timing guide plate adjusts the phase of the engine camshaft through the oil pressure control system. The oil pressure control system consists of engine oil pump, oil circuit and control valve. When the control valve is opened, the oil pressure is guided to the inside of the time gauge guide plate.
2. Electronic control: The oil pressure control of the chronograph guide plate is controlled by the engine control unit (ECU) through electronic signals. ECU calculates the optimal adjustment value of camshaft phase according to engine load, speed and data input by other sensors, and sends corresponding control signals to the timing guide plate.
3. Oil pressure adjustment: After ECU sends control signal, the control valve will adjust the direction and magnitude of oil pressure to control the oil pressure inside the guide plate of the chronograph. By adjusting the oil pressure, the timing guide plate can change the phase of the camshaft, that is, change the contact timing between the cam and the valve on the camshaft.
4. Phase adjustment: There is a rotatable eccentric wheel in the guide plate of the chronograph. By changing the relative position of the eccentric wheel, the phase of the camshaft can be changed. When the oil pressure is adjusted, the control valve will control the position of the eccentric to match the phase of the camshaft.
5. Combustion efficiency optimization: By adjusting the phase of the camshaft, the timing guide plate can optimize the combustion efficiency of the engine. For example, under the conditions of low speed and low load, the timing guide plate can advance the camshaft phase, increase the valve opening time and improve the intake efficiency. Under the conditions of high speed and high load, the timing guide plate can delay the camshaft phase, reduce the valve opening time and improve the exhaust efficiency.
The timing guide plate of the automobile timing system realizes the accurate adjustment of the engine camshaft phase through oil pressure control and electronic control.
