The working principle of automotive suspension bushing : the main role of suspension bushing is to absorb and isolate vibration through deformation. When the vehicle is driving on an uneven road surface, the undulation of the road surface will be transmitted to the suspension system through the wheels, and then to the body. There are two vibration transmission paths in the suspension system: one is the spring and shock absorber, and the other is the control arm of the suspension. While the spring and the shock absorber absorb most of the vibration, the control arm still transmits some vibration. The suspension bushings deform to absorb these residual vibrations, thereby reducing the vibrations transmitted to the body and improving vehicle comfort
Installation precautions :
Choosing the right bushing size : The bushing size needs to be determined based on the performance of the suspension and the complete vehicle to ensure the necessary spring characteristics, damping characteristics and durability. Bigger bushing is not always better, too large bushing may affect handling and shorten service life
Regular inspection and maintenance : Because the suspension bushing is exposed all year round, it is vulnerable to water accumulation, temperature changes and other oil drips, so it needs regular inspection and maintenance to ensure that it is working properly
