The wave box radiator is a device used for radiating heat, which is mainly used for cooling and protecting the lubricating oil or liquid in the wave box (transmission device). Its working principle is based on heat transfer principle and fluid mechanics.
The working principle of the wave box radiator is as follows:
1. Fluid circulation: The wave box radiator realizes heat dissipation through heat exchange with lubricating oil or liquid in the wave box. Usually, the lubricating oil in the gearbox is pumped to the radiator by a pump.
2. Heat exchange: After the lubricating oil enters the radiator, it exchanges heat with the cooling medium (usually cooling water or air) inside the radiator. The way of heat exchange can be direct contact or indirect.
-Direct contact heat exchange: the lubricating oil and the cooling medium are in direct contact, and heat transfer is realized through conduction and convection. This method is usually suitable for the situation that the temperature of lubricating oil is high and it needs to be cooled quickly.
Indirect heat exchange: the lubricating oil and the cooling medium are separated by the metal wall in the radiator, and the heat transfer is realized by the conduction of the metal wall. This method is usually suitable for situations where the temperature of lubricating oil is low and stable cooling is needed.
3. Circulation of cooling medium: After heat exchange with lubricating oil, the cooling medium will take away the heat in lubricating oil, thus reducing the temperature of lubricating oil. The cooling medium can be circulated by devices such as pumps or fans to maintain the heat dissipation effect.
4. Heat discharge: After heat exchange, the cooling medium takes away the heat in the lubricating oil, thus reducing the temperature of the lubricating oil. The cooling medium can be discharged through the outlet of the radiator or returned to the wave box through the pipeline for circulation.
Through the above working principle, the radiator of the wave box can effectively reduce the temperature of lubricating oil or liquid in the wave box to maintain the normal operating temperature of the wave box. This is helpful to prolong the service life of lubricating oil, improve the working efficiency of the gearbox and protect the internal parts of the gearbox from overheating. Wave box radiator is widely used in various mechanical equipment and vehicles, such as automobiles, construction machinery, ships and so on.
