1. Variable camshaft timing regulator (VVT): This is one of the most common types of camshaft regulators. By adjusting the phase and timing of the camshaft, it can meet the requirements of the engine under different working conditions. Camshaft regulator can change the phase of camshaft by hydraulic pressure, so as to realize different valve opening time and advance or delay ignition timing.


2. Variable camshaft lift adjuster (VVA): This adjuster can adjust the camshaft lift, that is, the opening height of the valve. By changing the valve lift, the intake and exhaust efficiency of the valve can be adjusted to optimize the engine performance and combustion efficiency. VVA usually consists of electric or hydraulic control unit, camshaft adjuster and related transmission mechanism.


3. Variable camshaft timing regulator (VTC): This regulator can adjust the timing of the camshaft, that is, the phase of the camshaft. By changing the phase of the camshaft, the opening and closing time of the valve can be adjusted to meet the engine requirements under different working conditions. VTC usually consists of electric or hydraulic control unit, camshaft adjuster and related transmission mechanism.


4. Dual independent variable camshaft timing regulator (DUAL VVT): This regulator can independently control the phase and timing of the intake camshaft and the exhaust camshaft. By controlling the two camshafts independently, the valve opening time of intake and exhaust can be adjusted more accurately and the ignition timing can be advanced or delayed to improve the performance and combustion efficiency of the engine.
